Brent Curtice, Garfield Re-2 SuperintendentBrent Curtice

At the March 8, 2016 school board meeting, the Garfield Re-2 School Board approved Brent Curtice to be the next Superintendent of the Garfield Re-2 School District.

Mr. Curtice comes from the Superintendent of Moffat County School District. He served as Assistant Superintendent from July 2011 to June 2014 prior to being named Superintendent. Mr. Curtice has served in the field of public education for over 34-years. He was a classroom teacher and coach for thirteen years and served as an athletic director, principal of both middle and high schools, assistant superintendent and superintendent.

Mr. Curtice was named the Colorado High School Principal of the Year in 2004. He holds a Master of Art Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Northern Colorado.

"We are so excited to bring Brent Curtice on board," said Garfield Re-2 School Board President Anne Guettler. "This is an exciting day. Brent is the right man, at the right time, to help move our district forward. He is personable, a collaborator, knows the Colorado education landscape, and has experience at every level in education. He is a great addition to the team."
