Garfield Re-2 votes to terminate Superintendent Curtice
This is the image for the news article titled Garfield Re-2 votes to terminate Superintendent CurticeRIFLE - At the February 11, 2020 school board meeting, the Garfield Re-2 Board of Directors voted unanimously to terminate the contract of Superintendent Brent Curtice immediately and unilaterally per section 12 b of the Superintendent’s contract, no cause. Curtice, was officially retiring at the end of the 2019-20 school year, and his duties with the District have concluded.

The Board’s direction came after a lengthy executive session that included Superintendent Curtice.

Heather Grumley, has been named the Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the school year while the District concludes the nation-wide search for Curtice’s successor. Assistant Superintendent Grumley’s contract will be modified in the coming weeks to reflect the additional duties.
